Faith Church is a community of ordinary people whose lives have been changed by the extraordinary, unmerited grace of God. We often say that we are "imperfect people clinging to a perfect Christ." In other words, we don't have it all figured out, but we do place our trust in Jesus Christ, who lived a perfect life, died on a cross, and rose again on our behalf. Because of what God has done for us, we have committed ourselves to worshiping him, showing his love to others in service of our community, and developing dedicated followers of Jesus.

Historical Sketch
Faith Church is a part of the Advent Christian General Conference. The Advent Christian Church is a denomination that has been in existence for 150 years. It adheres to the name "Advent" because it was the first organized movement in America to proclaim the neglected Bible doctrine of the Second Coming of Christ to this earth. The term "Christian" portrays the attitude of discipleship which recognizes Jesus of Nazareth, crucified, dead, risen, alive forever more, interceding, and coming again, as both Lord and Christ.
On July 19, 1906 the Advent Christian Church of Melrose was organized and it moved to its present location in 1912. Its name was changed to Faith Evangelical Church on April 15, 1969.
